Educational Evaluation

Our consultation team would gather several types of data in order to be in position to fully describe the effectiveness of the educational program at your facility. Our evaluation of the educational program would encompass the curriculum, classroom delivery, teacher training (materials and implementation), and student academic assessment. To that end, we would collect data and provide actionable feedback in 4 domains:

1. Trauma Informed Teaching and Training Practices

To what extent do the materials, teacher training, educational practices, and classroom delivery align with trauma informed practices?

2. Active and Engaging Pedagogical Strategies

To what extent are teachers trained to facilitate discussion and inquiry as opposed to solely delivering material?

3. Curriculum and Assessment Content

In addition to covering the academic disciplines required by ORR, does the curriculum add educational, occupational, or personal value? Does the assessment help teachers modify their lesson plans to work with the current skill level of the students in their class?

4. Culturally Responsive Practices

Do the materials utilized and the interactions between staff and students demonstrate respect and responsiveness to the students’ cultural backgrounds?
